Clematis x triternata produce clusters of small, star-like flowers are borne in such profusion that there is an absolute mass of their almond-scented blossom creating a gorgeous perfume across the garden. The individual flowers have four narrow tepals that are white at the base merging to rich-red halfway along their length to blunt, recurved tips.
