A prolific display of dark blue-purple, 7.5 to 9.0cm blooms with a textured surface and a deep red-purple bar will smother this variety from mid-summer to early autumn. The blooms produce four to six broad tepals which taper via undulating margins to strongly pointed, recurving tips. The stamens have white filaments and pale-yellow anthers.
Best suited for planting in the garden.

Prune your Group 3 clematis back to around 30cm above the ground or to a set of healthy, strong buds close to ground in early spring.
