An older, very reliable variety producing a wonderful show of large, 7.5 to 12.5cm rich-purple flowers from summer to autumn. The flowers have a reddish bar on opening which fades away as the plant matures to a more bluish-purple. The four to six textured tepals are broad and taper to blunt tips via crimped margins. The stamens have greenish-cream filaments and beige anthers.
Jackmanii Superba is suitable for planting in the garden.
