A glorious, display of large, 12.5 to 18.0cm, mauve-blue, star-shaped blooms will cover this cultivar in two waves. The first wave from late-spring to early-summer followed by a second flush on new growth in early autumn. The flowers are a rich, slightly mauve, mid-blue with a central bar paling as the bloom matures. The six to eight tepals taper to pointed tips via somewhat wavy margins. The stamens have white filaments and yellow anthers.
Lasurstern is best suited for planting in the garden.
