A hardy and easy to grow variety considered to be ideal for beginners with a prolific display of 5-10cm, deep purple-blue flowers with a slight purple-red bar and a central boss of deep-red anthers.
Raised by Brother Stefan Franczak of Poland in 1984 and introduced in 1990 it has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society 'Award of Garden Merit' for its outstanding qualities.
